The topics that follow describe how to install CA ARCserve Backup for Windows server components, Windows agents, and non-Windows agents using the download files.

5.1 Install CA ARCserve Backup for Windows Server and Agents Using AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.zip

Use the steps that follow to install CA ARCserve Backup for Windows server components and agents using the file labeled AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.zip.

Unzip AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.zip into a temporary directory.
For example, c:\temp.

From the temporary directory, execute Setup.exe to start the installation.

5.2 Install CA ARCserve Backup for Windows Server and Agents Using AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.iso

Use the steps that follow to install CA ARCserve Backup for Windows server components and agents using the file labeled AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.iso.

Copy AB_12_1_WIN_DVW.iso to a blank, writable DVD.

From the root directory on the DVD, execute Setup.exe to start the installation.
